Creating eye-popping memes is an essential skill for writers to hone. Memes work across a myriad of platforms to help convey your message to the world.

  • Free stock images are great for personal memes. You already know Pixabay and Unsplash are two of our favorite sources. Other options are DeathToTheStockPhoto.com and pexels.com
  • Using the right font pairing is another key ingredient in meme creation. A couple good ideas are pairings with fat and skinny or script and non-script fonts. Google font pairings for more ideas.
  • If you’re creating memes on other programs and need unique fonts, you can download them from sources like 1001fonts.com and dafont.com. Be aware that some fonts are not approved for business use and should not be used  for memes promoting work. Pay attention to the terms when finding and downloading fonts. Some fonts must be paid for to use.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in Early Elementary Education and was commissioned as an Associate in Ministry through the Select Program at Trinity Lutheran Seminary.
